Thanks him for providing us with useful information about the hotel.”I booked a room in Die Port van Cleve Amsterdam as I was going to spend several days with my friends in Amsterdam at the end of April, 2008. I had very positive impressions of Die Port van Cleve Amsterdam that’s why I am writing this letter. The location of that luxury Amsterdam hotel was superb within easy walking distance to Dam Square, Anne Frank, Madame Tussuads, Red Light District and shopping area. There was a huge shopping mall and supermarket close to the hotel. Tram stop was also nearby, so there were no problems with getting around the city on the cheap. By the way, I have heard from a hotel guest that he paid about €55 for a taxi from the Central Station to Die Port van Cleve Amsterdam. That is really too much for a short distance from the station to the hotel (it took me about 15 minutes on foot). So, avoid using taxis if you travel on the budget. As I found out later, Die Port van Cleve Amsterdam was also served by the airport shuttle service.

The overall atmosphere of Die Port van Cleve Amsterdam was warm and welcoming. The staff was excellent. My room was on the fifth floor and it was really bright, cosy and big enough for me. I had a safety deposit box, Internet connection, telephone, TV and radio in my hotel room. The bed was very comfy and the bedding was lovely cotton and very comfortable, the bathroom was tidy and it was equipped with a bath/shower, toilet and hairdryer.

I spent very little time in my room as there was so much to see and to do in Amsterdam. I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, so I can’t comment on the food.

Die Port van Cleve Amsterdam is also convenient for conferences and business meetings. I would recommend this affordable Amsterdam hotel both for leisure and business trips.”
