Hotel Ibis Amsterdam City Stopera - Cheap Amsterdam Hotel

August 15th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Here is a letter from three girls who traveled to Amsterdam and stayed at Hotel Ibis Amsterdam City Stopera.“My name is Alice. My cousins and I have just returned from a trip to the capital of the Netherlands. As my parents were familiar with the Ibis chain of hotels and recommended us to stay there, we booked a room in Hotel Ibis Amsterdam City Stopera, a 3-star family style cheap Amsterdam hotel. The neighborhood of the hotel was very quiet and safe and it was not far from the Central Station (about a mile walk). Several tourist attractions, such as the Dam square, the Royal Palace and Madame Tussauds, were easy to reach on foot. I think that the closeness of the city sights is a great advantage of Hotel Ibis Amsterdam City Stopera.

We shared a triple room which faced onto a canal that runs at the back of the hotel. Our room was spacious enough with 3 single comfortable beds, flat screen TV, full length mirror and a wonderful shower room. It seemed like our room had been renovated fairly recently as it looked very modern and fresh. Room was very clean and tidy and housekeeping called daily with fresh towels. There was only one complaint about the room equipment: the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Breakfast wasn’t included in our room price, so we had to pay extra EUR 14.00 per person. Continental breakfast included hot and cold items.

We enjoyed our stay in that inexpensive Amsterdam hotel and if we go back to Amsterdam we will book this hotel again.”
